The opening date for a new atria Watford restaurant has been confirmed, alongside an offer of a year’s free food for three Watford customers.
Popeyes will be bringing its Louisiana-style burgers, wings, tenders, and more to the shopping centre from next Friday (July 19).
Bringing the former Grounded Kitchen location, spanning around the size of one and a half tennis courts, back into use is set to create 80 new jobs in town.

Popeyes UK CEO Tom Crowley said: “We're thrilled to announce the opening of our new Watford restaurant and to bring the taste of New Orleans to people in the local area.
“Our recent openings have been some of our biggest to date, not just in the UK but globally, and we’re sure the new Watford restaurant will be just as popular.”
The American chain has been opening new branches up and down the UK this year, as it plans to double the size of its UK estate in 2024.
Steve Gray, from atria owners Global Mutual, added: “This is another great addition to our diverse collection of dining destinations at atria Watford.
“Popeyes has an international presence and we know our customers will love its food offering and unique opening day activities.”
