Watford Council has confirmed that a popular paddling pool will close for maintenance next week.
In a message this afternoon, a spokesperson announced that park-goers will not be able to use the Cassiobury Park paddling pool, at The Hub, from Monday, July 15, to Wednesday, July 17.
During this time the outdoor facility will be undergoing “essential” maintenance work to ensure it is ready for busy crowds if the weather improves in time for the peak summer season.

The borough council did add that, if weather remains dry, it may be able get the water play park back open for walk-in visitors on the Wednesday but advised that anyone planning to head down should check ahead before they visit.
Cassiobury Park paddling pool features two pools as well as splash pads, water jets, and fountains for children to enjoy.
There are changing rooms and toilets at The Hub, while parents can take a break at the new Cedar café which earlier opened this year.
Entry to the paddling pools is free but each one-hour slot from 10am to 6.30pm must generally be booked in advance.
They are suitable for all ages and abilities, although all children must be accompanied by an adult, who themselves cannot enter without children.
Tickets can be booked online or via the Everyone Active app, and the council is seeking donations to help keep the pools free for all.
