Details for the forthcoming Rickmansworth Folk Festival have been released ahead of the event scheduled for later this month.

The free festival will kick off at noon on Saturday, July 20, at The Bury in the town centre following a special workshop by notable artist, Anna Tabbush, from 10.30am.

Festival goers will experience various aspects of the community spirit, including live music performances, dancing and food courtesy of local vendors.

Anchor Tap & Bottle will manage the festival's bar, offering a variety of craft beers and beverages.

Dutchie's Jerk Joint is to supply its Caribbean cuisine, prepared using traditional family recipes.

In addition to the performances at The Bury, multiple Morris Dancing troops will be performing in the town centre throughout the day, including Rickmansworth's Phoenix Morris group.

The festival boasts an impressive array of talent.

Established artists, James Delarre and Saul Rose, will headline the event.

Rickmansworth Festival will also host Reg Meuross, a skilled singer-songwriter hailed as a beacon of modern English folk writing.

His profound material and tenor voice have resulted in 15 critically acclaimed albums.

Cohen Braithwaite-Kilcoyne, a young, traditional folk performer and frequent collaborator with Reg Meuross, will also grace the festival.

Known for his adept mastery of the melodeon and Anglo concertina, he brings life to historical ballads, industrial songs, and shanties.

Other notable performers include the Anna Tabbush Trio, featuring Anna Tabbush, Camilo Menjura and Rachel Drayson, and Damian Clarke with his captivating folk set.

The festival doesn't falter in demonstrating up-and-coming talent either.

Sean Spicer, a prodigious young harmonica player and HarmonicaUK's Champion in 2023, is set to perform.

Eirra and Callum Granger, both of whom are gaining steady followings, will be the festival's opening act.

Lemon Tuesday, a local female choir known for its varied repertoire, will also feature.

Led by musical director, Emily Leather, the choir has prepared an array of folk pieces especially for the festival.

Although seating will be provided at The Bury, attendees are encouraged to bring their own.

Furthermore, attendees interested in participating in the day's singing workshop must book tickets via eventbrite.com.

The workshop takes place between 10.30am to 12pm.

Launched by the not-for-profit organisation, Rickmansworth Town Team Community Interest Company, and supported by funding from the Batchworth Community Council, the festival aims to enhance the societal, economic, cultural, and environmental life of the community.
