A singer who “grew up in a village just outside Watford” will be supporting Taylor Swift on The Eras Tour.
This week, it was announced that Griff will be performing before the billionaire artist comes on stage for her Wembley Stadium show on June 22.
In a post to X, she said: “Taylor Swift has invited me on the Eras Tour!
- Police forensics called after gun found in Watford
- Youths given dressing down after rescue from derelict building fire
- Thieves videoed brazenly stealing motorbike from driveway
“Eight-year-old me who had Fearless on repeat wouldn’t believe this. So unbelievably grateful to Taylor for all the love she’s shown me and my music.
“See you at Wembley on June 22.”

Griff, 23, is from Kings Langley, which she described as “just wildly middle class and quintessentially British” during an interview with i-D magazine in 2019.
The former St Clement Danes student added that the “village just outside Watford” is “nice though”.
can’t believe I’m about to say this – MY DEBUT ALBUM VERTIGO IS OUT 19TH JULY !!! Every song has been written from an emotional sense of vertigo- that dizzy upside down sensation that heartache often leaves you with. hope you love this album!!! https://t.co/7VREFp6QT5 pic.twitter.com/8Ddfz6KX6Z

On leaving the Chorleywood school, she told her teachers and parents that she was taking a gap year to avoid questions about her plans to go into music.
But now her debut album, Vertigo, is set to release on July 19 after successful The Mirror Talk EP came out in November 2019 — when she was just 18.
Paramore are the other support act set to perform on the night.
