Four very different organisations are collaborating for the forthcoming South-West Hertfordshire Great Big Green Week.

Random Café, Woodoaks Farm, Lush, and the Electric Umbrella will all collaborate for the festival which takes place from Saturday, June 8 to 16.

The festival, which encourages eco-friendly practices and community involvement, will see a plethora of activities taking place including events for children, wildlife walks, and movie showings, across various locations in Watford and Three Rivers.

Random Café will kick off the week with their 'Great Big Green Day'.

The café will also host three additional activities aimed at enlightening residents about sustainability.

Woodoaks Farm opens its doors to the public for an Open Farm Day, providing a rare opportunity to understand rural life better.

Visitors can join the farm’s Compost Club or volunteer their time in general farm tasks or flower farming.

Cosmetics chain Lush in Watford will encourage customers to make 'bubble bars' in their shop - a creative exercise aimed at shedding light on their sustainable business practices.

Adding musical colour to the week, the Electric Umbrella will perform at the Watford Green Festival as part of the event.

Their performance in High Street and the atria Watford events space promises to be an attention-grabber, with several stalls and activities planned across both locations.

The final programme of events can be found here.

With each organisation keen on promoting local community involvement and environmental preservation, there’s expected to be something for everyone.
