New plans have revealed how a “much-loved” Rickmansworth playground could look as it is set to be refurbished.
Residents have been invited to have their say on plans for the Ebury Play Area at Rickmansworth Aquadrome as part of a public consultation closing tomorrow (May 17).
The play area's "much-loved" purple tower, installed in 2016, has been removed by Three Rivers District Council ahead of the works due to being at the end of its life and deemed out of keeping with the nature reserve.
Two proposals have been put forward to replace it and both would keep the existing climbing frame while adding new features.
- Dates confirmed for popular fun fair's Cassiobury Park return
- Most popular primary schools in Watford and nearby revealed
Option A would relocate the existing swings, add a new sandpit with wooden towers, a boardwalk, as well as a hide for bird watching and balancing beams.
The second option also proposes a set of connected wooden towers along with a crows nest, willow tunnel and climbing ramp.
Once closed, the feedback from the consultation will be evaluated and used to guide the tender process for the new play park's installation.
