Atria shoppers will soon get a surprise overhead as a first of its kind course opens in the shopping centre.

Rock Up Watford has announced it will be opening a high ropes and zip wire course across the site's atrium.

The business has nine locations nationwide and opened a climbing centre with 27 walls and two soft play areas in atria Watford in 2018.

Rock Up managing director Aaran Eade said: “We are excited to introduce this thrilling new feature to our community.

“It’s not just about climbing; it’s about reaching new heights in how we engage with our environment and each other.

“This course is a testament to our dedication to creating unique, enjoyable, and safe experiences for everyone.”

The course will open this summer and has been designed for “adventurers of all ages” to enjoy a unique vantage point over the shopping centre.

Steve Gray, from atria Watford managers Global Mutual, said: “Rock Up is a firm favourite for families looking for a day out at atria Watford and we are delighted to see this new course open up.

“We’re very excited that the team have chosen atria to launch this new concept.”
