A Kings Langley café said it is “proud” to have been named one of the best in Hertfordshire.
The Kitchen, based at the Inspired sports facility in Hempstead Road, was awarded the 'Best Locally Sourced Coffee Shop 2024' in the county at the UK Enterprise Awards 2024.
Owner Adam Whitbread, who set up the business in 2017, said he was “proud” to win the award.
The competition is run by the SME News publisher, which aims to honour the “remarkable accomplishments” of small and medium-size businesses across the UK.
Residents congratulated the café on the achievement as they called it “brilliant news”, while another said: “Amazing work guys keep going as you do but very well deserved.”

The Kitchen serves light bites and hot food from 8.30am to 4pm everyday, as well as a special evening menu every Thursday until 10pm.
On its website, the coffee shop says it prides itself on “creating meals made from the best ingredients” and that it sources meat and fish from the Smithfield and Billingsgate markets in London.
The bread, fruit and vegetables served are also locally sourced and all of the meals are made fresh on the site, according to the café.
