Tickets for Oktoberfest in Watford are nearly sold out, organisers have said.
Nearly 90 per cent had already been bought by the end of last week for the two-day Bavarian beer festival, according to Barbican Events.
The event will take place in Cassiobury Park from 4pm on Friday, October 4, and all day on Saturday, October 5.
It is the first time the German-themed carnival will come to Watford, offering a live Oompah band, axe throwing, German beer in extra-large stein glasses and “gourmet” food.

The “early bird” general admission and VIP tables are already sold out online, but standard tickets are still available on the Eventbrite page.
They cost £14.99 for the standing area and £22 for the unreserved seated section.
Access to a “VIP” table is also on offer for £45 with one food and drink token each and a dedicated waiter service.
Oktoberfest is the world’s largest “Volksfest”, or German people’s festival, and is held from mid-September to the first Sunday of October, with more than six million visitors estimated to attend the event in Munch, Bavaria.
