The Telegraph has named the 100 best commuter towns to London, but one notable location appears to have been forgotten.
Despite being just 20 minutes away by train, Watford did not make the list by the national newspaper and the estate agent Savills of the best places to live while working in the capital.
Nine Hertfordshire areas did make the cut however, including St Albans at 5th and Stevenage at 18th, while even Royston was rated 98th.
The online list allows readers to rank the towns by house prices, school rankings, green space, and train services to London.

The result may surprise some after Watford was crowned the “UK’s best place to live and work” in January by property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH), based on different measures including economy, health, and environment.
Last year, the town was recognised for its greenspaces after Cassiobury Park, Oxhey Activity Park and Oxhey Park all named among the UK’s favourite parks at Green Flag People’s Choice Awards.
The town also enjoys strong train links into London Euston, although last week they were plagued by a series of faults on several days leading Watford Mayor Peter Taylor to demand an “urgent meeting” with rail bosses.
