A Watford restaurant is “excited” to be opening its glass house extension with a retractable roof.
Work on the new seating area at Garston Harvester, in Horseshoe Lane, is now complete after beginning in mid-February.
From Tuesday (April 2), customers will be to make use of the new conservatory-style seating area which has been built in what used to be part of the back garden and parking area.

“We’re really excited for people to come down and try the glass box, it’s a big boost for the Garston Harvester,” a member of staff said.
“Especially as the weather is getting better.”
In the summer the canvas roof will retract and the windows can come down. The extension, at the side of family restaurant near the A405 junction, also has heating for the colder months and can be used for events as well as additional restaurant seating.
The Harvester is open 11.30am to 10pm Sunday to Thursday and 9am to 11pm Friday to Saturday.
It submitted a planning application for the powder coated aluminium framed structure in November last year, which was approved by Watford Borough Council in January.
