Live music will return to Watford Market this year for a new round of free after hours events.
Watford Borough Council has announced the latest dates for the free “Market Lates” evenings which will "bring the Market to life".
Foodies can enjoy craft beer, street food, and a pop-bar from 6pm to 10pm on May 3, August 2 and November 1.
There will be a range of street food on offer from around the globe, from Caribbean to Korean and Asian at the market run by Saunders Markets.
The evenings will be set to the soundtrack of live music, similar to previous events where both local and national music acts have performed.
Market Manager Calvin Poon said “Market Lates are a Friday night out with a difference, and the event strives to support the local economy by promoting local businesses and celebrating home grown artistic talent with the entertainment on offer.
“They also give visitors the opportunity to socialise in a different and more relaxed market environment.”
Watford Mayor Peter Taylor said the events were a “great opportunity” for visitors to discover the market with their friends and family.
He said: "The feedback from the events since launching ‘Market Lates’ in 2021 has been really positive, so I’m happy we can continue to host these in 2024.
"They are a great opportunity for visitors to discover some of the market’s popular traders, whilst enjoying a night out with friends and family. It was wonderful to see people of all ages enjoying these events last year and I’m really looking forward to their return.”
