A Watford pub that closed last year is looking for a new landlord to take it over.
The Estcourt Arms, in St Johns Road, shut down when its landlords left on November 19, 2023.
It was subsequently boarded up while the building’s owner, Heineken subsidiary Star Pubs and Bars, confirmed it would be carrying out repairs in January to get it back up and running.

It has now shared an advert for the tenancy which would involve minimum ingoing costs of £11,245 and an annual £20,939 rent.
The estimated annual turnover is £256,623.
Star Pubs and Bars describes the pub as being 80 per cent based around its drinks offer and 20 per cent around food. It also highlights the pub’s ability to drive trade through a “well-designed live entertainment programme and live sports”.
The Estcourt Arms has 30 seats inside and 30 outdoors in a patio courtyard garden. It apparently has a customer base “made up of affluent young professionals and young families”.
The position comes with private accommodation of two bedrooms, a living room, bathroom, and kitchen.
Last year, the outgoing landlords shared that they were leaving due to “situations behind the scenes being out of our hands” and personal reasons that made it “the right time for us to step away from the bar”.
