The UK’s largest bakery chain is edging closer to opening a new Watford location.
After the £25million Watford Business Park in Faraday Close, near the West Watford Morrisons, was completed last month, a planning application was submitted to turn ‘unit 1’ (nearest the roundabout) into a bakery with Greggs signs outside.
Alongside the signs, Greggs also asked for permission to install two air conditioning condenser units and two extract vents for the same unit.

Yesterday (February 13), Watford Borough Council granted advertising consent for the location.
Greggs has not yet confirmed that it will be opening another location in the town, and so the opening date remains unclear.
The 4.3-acre gateway to Watford Business Park in Faraday Close was transformed from a car park into 13 industrial and warehouse units.
It has been geared towards attracting businesses in high-value sectors, particularly film and TV, life sciences, and manufacturing to the business park, which spans 74 acres in total.
