However, finding the best place to eat pancakes on Pancake Day can prove difficult, with a number of dessert shops across Watford.

The dessert store has a four star rating on TripAdvisor, with 60 out of 148 reviewers giving it all five stars.

'TinaM541' wrote: "Been here a few times now and love it, the ice cream is the best I've tasted!

"Tried the crepes on pancake day and they were really good too."

Creams Café in The Parade, Watford, is a dessert store that has a 4.1 star rating on Google Reviews.

'Millionaires', 'Chocoholic', 'Oreo' and 'Bueno' are among the flavours offered by the eatery.

Alejandra Priestman-Degano said: "Great desserts, really varied menu.

"The staff were really nice and the new manager was really sweet."

'Malil212' commented: "The Rhubarb cafe is a hidden gem! Lovely and clean, polite and attentive staff.
