A Hertfordshire pub has been named as one of the country’s 16 best cosy spots for a winter lunch.
On Tuesday (December 12) The Good Food Guide released its list of “Britain’s cosiest pubs for a perfect winter lunch” and included The Fox & Hounds in Hunsdon High Street, Hertfordshire.
Described as the best places to while away the time between Christmas and New Year, all the listed pubs apparently offer “relaxed, warm vibes, good local beers, and event better cooking”.

The pub is divided into a casual bar offering real ales and a restaurant area, with a pub garden outside.
Reviewing the venue, The Good Food Guide had added that it is a “tip-top local asset” while still being “relaxed” and “unstuffy”.
Eating at the restaurant is likely to require a reservation.
Most of the lists other 15 entries are a long journey from Hertfordshire, with the Harwood Arms in Fulham, London and The Crown in Burchett’s Green, Berkshire being the next-nearest.
