Watford's Pryzm nightclub is set to host one final party on New Year's Eve before it closes down for good.

Taking place on Sunday, December 31, with doors open from 8pm and tickets costing £10, the event is billed as the "ultimate immersive nightclub experience" as party-goers say goodbye to the popular venue.

"Mark your calendar and gather your squad because New Year's Eve is where you want to be," the event page reads. 

"Get ready for a night filled with pulsating beats, high-octane energy, and unforgettable memories. Let's make this Sunday one for the books.

"With three distinct rooms to choose from, we're bringing you the freshest beats and the ultimate party atmosphere to make your Sunday night unforgettable."

In a statement yesterday (November 24), Pryzm announced its final night in Watford, confirming news that has looked likely since the unit was put on the market in October, with the listing specifying it would be vacant by January 5, 2024.

A Pryzm Watford spokesperson said: "In spite of our best efforts, we have been unable to reach an agreement with the landlord on a new lease that would ensure a long and sustainable future for Pryzm Watford.

"Regrettably, this leaves us with no choice but to close the venue, and as such our last operating night will be New Year’s Eve, when we plan to throw a party to remember.

"Closing the premises will be a sad day for our staff, management, and millions of customers who have enjoyed the venue over the years.

"Our focus over the coming weeks is to support our staff through this difficult period and continue to create fantastic nights out for our guests including special guest appearances throughout December from both Sigma and B Young."

After the listing pricing the unit at £6 million was made public, the nightclub chain admitted that it was aware of it but was set to meet with the landlord to discuss future options for the site. However, the talks have not been enough to save the venue.
