The landlords of a Watford family pub have confirmed that “this weekend will be our last” amid an uncertain future.
An announcement on the social media page for The Estcourt Arms, in St Johns Road, near Watford Junction, confirmed that its management will be bidding a final farewell on Sunday (November 19).
“As some of you will already know,” the landlords said. “This weekend will be our last at The Estcourt Arms.

They explained that “situations behind the scenes being out of our hands” and personal reasons made now “the right time for us to step away from the bar”.
The Estcourt Arms’ future is apparently not yet known. Updates to follow.
“We would like to thank each and every one of you for your support, love and friendship and for making the last few years here so good,” the message said.
It continued: “We do know whoever eventually takes over has the most amazing customers already and I hope they look after you all as much as you have looked after us.”
There will be a three-day leaving part starting tonight (November 17).
