"I see Watford as London" is a quote from a viral TikTok video that has stirred up a heated debate in its comments section.
A post from the No Blind Spots podcast has been viewed nearly 19,000 times on the social media platform, and sees two men debate whether the town is in the capital or "the sticks".
The video features one podcaster, who grew up in Watford, explaining that his London friends all think that Watford is "the farm" and ask him how many sheep he owns.
@noblindspotspod Let’s settle the debate: is Watford in London? 👀😭 #podcast #podcastclips #watford #london ♬ original sound - No Blind Spots 🎙️
Meanwhile, opposite, his fellow podcaster argues that Hertfordshire is the "the sticks" and that Watford is in the capital.
SUGGESTED READING
Both podcasters agree that the town could be in Greater London, as TfL operates there.
However, any suggestion that Watford was in London was overwhelmingly dismissed in the video's comments section.
One user (alexanderl997) stated: "Watford is Hertfordshire, not London. It’s a commuter town so of course TfL operate there!"
Another (Happy_as_me1) added: "Stop! Watford is not London. Barnet and Enfield shouldn't be either."
Someone else added: "If the TfL red buses don’t go through your area, it’s not London", to which the podcasters replied "Two of them do, does that count?".
However, some still disagreed, including one who wrote: "It’s defo part of London. The London Overground and Metropolitan Line stop there, and TfL buses."
