A Watford post office has reopened after being damaged in a fire earlier this year.
The Pond Post Office in The Parade, opposite the town pond, has reopened this morning (October 24) after a fire forced it to close on April 7.
It had initially been slated to reopen on Friday (October 20), but this was then pushed back to 9am this morning.

Owner and postmaster Mayank Patel said: “We are very glad to be open for our local community and we would like to thank them for their support and patience during the time we were closed.
“We are sorry for any inconvenience caused in the last six months.”
He added that the reopened store has benefited from the refurbishment and is now also a Londis location, with more of a convenience store offering alongside its Royal Mail functions.
It will also be extending its opening hours to 6am to 8pm each day, except for Fridays and Saturdays when it will open from 6am to 11pm.
The fire, which forced those in the flats above the store to evacuate, was caused by an accidental electrical issue.
