Customers will soon be able to purchase cakes and sandwiches from a new bakery chain opening inside a supermarket.
Greggs has confirmed to the Watford Observer that it will open a shop in Sainsbury’s, Cow Lane, North Watford, in early November.
A spokesperson added: “We will be able to share further details with you closer to the opening.”
When the rumour circulated on social media, several people liked it with, with one saying: “Wow. I’m game. I miss their café.”
Another person added: “Love this!”

Greggs was established more than 80 years ago when John Gregg delivered fresh eggs and yeast to families in Newcastle.
Ten years later he opened his first store Greggs of Gosforth. Today, there are more than 2,000 Greggs in the UK.
Other shops opening
Martins Furniture & Flooring will be opening a branch in Queen’s Road, Watford, on November 4.
The company, which has several other stores in Hertfordshire, will be keeping its current Watford store in St Albans Road.
In Kings Langley High Street, Home & Garden by Sian The Little Shop of Happiness will have its grand opening on Saturday, October 21, at 10.30am.
It will sell homeware, garden and lifestyle goods, and customers will be able to view the products while celebrating the opening with Prosecco and cakes.
Sian Turner bought the shop from the previous owner and has made a few changes to the interior and exterior.
The majority of the products will be the same, Sian said.
