A Watford High Street store has been placed on the market and must close by January next year.
Shoezone, between Greggs and Pret a Manger, has been “closing down” since June but no date for it to actually close was shared and the brand did not respond to the Watford Observer’s enquiries.
It was, however, understood from a member of staff that five to six months was the rough timeline. This appears to have been confirmed, as the £75,000-per-year unit will be available to take over from January 2024.
- Former Watford High Street McDonald's unit marketed
- Watford Junction train cancellations expected for hours
- Opening date confirmed for town centre's new furniture shop
This is according to a listing on Rightmove by Kings Langley-based commercial property specialist Brasier Freeth.
The unit measures 1,539-square-feet, only slightly smaller than the nearby former McDonald's unit that was also recently placed on the market.
According to the brochure: "It comprises a fitted retail unit arranged over ground and first floor levels.
“The ground floor comprises a retail unit whereas the first floor provides ancillary accommodation.
“It benefits from rear access to the service road for loading/unloading.”
