If you are looking for a fun show for all the family to watch then Tom Fletcher’s debut musical ticks the box.
There’s a Monster in Your Show is an adaptation from the McFly star’s book that is aimed at children aged two plus.
The musical is set to head on its UK tour but had its first performances at the Watford Palace Theatre in Clarendon Road on Thursday, October 12, and Friday, October 13.

Today’s afternoon show was packed with people of all ages ready to watch the 50-minute musical.
Despite some of the children heading straight from a long day at school, they soon sprang to life when the performance started.
The show took the audience on a magical adventure with songs, puppets, and dance numbers from start to finish.
It kicked off with its story makers ready to perform, when suddenly, they realised the monster in their book had gone missing.
Reminiscent of a pantomime, the monster appears several times before he is found, with the help of the audience, and ends up being part of the show.
The story makers try everything to get the monster back in his book, but with no luck.
This sparks a fun journey where Little Monster is joined by his friends, Dragon, Alien and Unicorn, and all four go on a mischievous journey.
Throughout the show the audience is encouraged to interact and join in; the children, and some of the adults, could be seen waving their arms in the air and singing along.
It wasn’t like an ordinary show where you were supposed to be quiet for two hours, in fact, it was quite the opposite.
Tom Fletcher previously said: “I want kids to feel this is a show that they are a part of, not just coming to watch.
“This isn’t going to be a ‘sit down and be quiet’ kind of show. There’s a lot of mischief in the book, and the show is not to go according to plan either.
“Certain monsters will require the audience’s help getting the show back on track.”
If you and your family want to help the monsters the show will be going on tour and will soon be heading back to Hertfordshire.
