A popular village pub that can trace some of its structure back 500 years has been taken over by an award-winning company.
The Three Horseshoes in Letchmore Heath, Radlett, which was described by a previous owner as "haunted", has be bought by Peach Pubs.
It has been acquired with the intention that it will remain the idyllic, country pub and restaurant at the heart of the village, serving food and drink with “great, friendly service to match”.

However, the new company plans to introduce a prominent change to match the rest of its pub portfolio.
Chris Stagg, brand operations director at Peach Pubs said: “We change our menus with the seasons and cook with quality ingredients from suppliers more used to supplying Michelin-starred restaurants than village pubs.
“Guests old and new will find a warm welcome and plenty of the good stuff.”
Peach Pubs now owns three pubs in Hertfordshire, The White Horse in Harpenden and Brookmans in Brookmans Park.
In 2018, the pub’s then owner Danny Williams told the Watford Observer he thought the pub was haunted.
He said: “People will think I’m bonkers, but I have seen what looks like someone walking around.
“The pub’s old front door is now a window and I thought I saw someone walking through it.”
