Watford’s Wilko’s last day of trading is getting closer and huge signs are in the shop window highlighting final offers.
Although roughly more than 50% of stock had been sold there were still some items up for sale when the Watford Observer visited on the afternoon of Saturday, September 23.
The store is set to close on Tuesday, September 26, along with 36 other Wilko stores on the same day.

While most of the shelves were completely empty, there were still some last-minute bargains to be bought.
The store has some kitchen appliances up for sale with a Wilko microwave selling for £45 instead of the original £75.
A Vivo 16cm pan has been reduced from £49.99 to £14.99 and a salad bowl is now for sale at £5.40 instead of £9.
Christmas decorations were also still in stock with 70% off the original price.
Animal lovers might also be in luck as some of the pet products have up to 40% off.
Anyone in the midst of sprucing up their home might find a ceiling light shade, which are also on offer.
On August 10 it was announced that Wilko had fallen into administration after it failed to secure a rescue deal.
The chain, which runs more than 400 stores across the UK including one in the High Street, told its 12,000 staff that it has hired administrators from PwC to oversee the process.
