A Chorleywood pub that has undergone four weeks of renovations has given an inside look at the progress.
The Stag in Long Lane closed at the beginning of August after it became "tired looking", according to its owner, Lukaz Szumski.
He told the Watford Observer: “We had a bit of a delay in the work, but I am looking forward to reopening as we want the pub to be a community hub.
"I am excited for our customers to see the new design, our customers have supported a lot through the refurb.
“It has been hard work though. I have almost had headaches from the stress.”

The work included repainting the interior, redoing the bar with new woodwork, removing the TV and adding new furniture.
The pub is reopening on Friday, September 8, with hopes to provide customers with live music and other entertainment as well as the food and drink already on offer.
