- Watford to benefit from gigabit speeds up to 18 times faster than the UK average internet speed
- The community internet service provider offers a best-in-class customer service, rated 5-stars on Trustpilot with no mid contract price hikes
Watford residents can now wave goodbye to frozen video calls and glitchy live streams as community ISP Lit Fibre switches on its services in Watford, providing faster, more reliable and affordable full-fibre broadband to homes across the town.
The announcement comes at the same time Lit Fibre switches on its services in Potters Bar, with the first customers currently being connected. Residents now have access to a choice of symmetrical 100Mb, 500Mb or 1Gb packages, delivering speeds up to 18 times faster than current broadband services. As well as super speedy connection, Lit Fibre also guarantees no mid-contract price increases.
On a typical day, Hertfordshire homes have an average of seven devices connected to the internet, meaning that reliable and fast internet is vital for homes across the county. Full-fibre provides a superior experience compared to the old, unreliable copper infrastructure, helping to meet the demand for more consistent internet services.
Residents of Harpenden, St Albans and Welwyn Garden City are already benefitting from Lit Fibre’s ultrafast broadband, and the rollout into Watford and Potters Bar marks the company’s continued commitment to bring world-class full-fibre broadband to Hertfordshire communities.
Stephen Andrews, Lit Fibre’s Community Manager, believes there is much to be done to help residents in Hertfordshire understand the benefits that full-fibre can bring, and to show how easy and cost effective it is to switch, he says:
"We are delighted to introduce our services to Watford and Potters Bar, and we’re looking forward to providing residents with internet they deserve to make their lives run that little bit smoother.
"We want to show people why our full-fibre internet is not only faster but also cheaper and more reliable than existing services, and our team are on the ground in these towns to show the difference that Lit Fibre can make by connecting and helping the community."
As part of its efforts in supporting the local community, Lit Fibre is one of the main sponsors of the Watford Carnival taking place on Saturday, July 29, 2023, where residents can say hello to the team and find out more.
Residents can simply use Lit Fibre’s postcode checker at www.litfibre.com/get-lit to see if their home is covered by the service and register for further information.
