Watford High Street is constantly going through changes, with new shops coming and going and different businesses taking over.
Here is a round up of currently unoccupied units along the High Street and The Parade.
Unit 3, 135 The Parade
Piranha Comics was situated here until its closure.
This is situated at the top end of the High Street, along the same strip of road as Creams, the dessert parlour.
The shop used to sell comic books, collectables and other sci-fi based items.
Watford BID have not confirmed what is happening to this unit.
69-71 The Parade
This used to house the charity shop Barnardo's which sold clothes, household goods and other second hand items.
Watford BID are yet to comment on the future of this empty unit.
72-74 The Parade
The Colombia Press Wetherspoons pub used to be in this unit, having closed in February.
The pub is currently under offer and an agreement for a business to take over the empty premises is expected soon.
It has been on the market since September 2022.
107-115 The Parade
Barrio the bar occupied this unit in town which has recently closed its doors after opening only nine months ago.
The plan for this building is unknown as the company who own Barrio, Nightcap have stated that the bar is "closed for the summer."
146A High Street
This unit which is currently unoccupied used to house Sweet Time, a newsagents which had been open since 1985.
The shop has had it's big sign taken down but from what we could see no work to replace the newsagents has begun.
The shop has been put on the market for £2,167 per month.
172 High St
This used to be Auto Mobility Concepts, which sold mobility aids.
Although this is closing, the other, in Hemel Hempstead remains open.
The company have yet to confirm what is happening with this shop.

3 The Parade
This unit is not empty yet but Shoe Zone will be closing in Watford soon, with the shop displaying sale signs in preparation for it's closure.
