One of Watford’s Nando’s grillers is a finalist in a competition to be the UK's best.
Bishnu Ghimire from Nando’s Watford High Street has reached the UK and Ireland final of Nando’s Grillers’ Challenge 2023.
The yearly competition shines a light on the perhaps underappreciated cooks and will eventually whittle the competition down to the very best griller from each country, ahead of a global final described as “a showdown to end all showdowns”.

Getting to the UK and Ireland final has taken 470 restaurant heats, 30 quarter-finals, and six semi-finals.
Nando’s Uk and Ireland operations director Gary Duncan said: “Congratulations to Bishnu and the other UK and Ireland finalists.
“Reaching this stage of the competition is no mean feat and they should be very proud of themselves.
“The technical ability and passion shown from all our competitors is truly inspiring.”
The UK and Ireland Final will take place on July 18 in Birmingham.
