A popular Watford town centre chippy is set to close from the end of the month and the building is already listed as for sale.
Ebb Tide and the flat above it, on the corner of Market Street and Merton Road, are being marketed for £695,000.
According to the listing, the property is to be sold "with vacant possession" and the Watford Observer understands the shop is set to close at the end of the month.

The self-contained two-bed flat has separate access, from Merton Road.
Ebb Tide boasts an impressive reputation in the town with its website highlighting its win as the Daily Mail’s “Tastiest Fish and Chips in Watford”.
It holds 4.1 stars from 140 Google reviews as well as 4 stars from 26 TripAdvisor reviews, with some customers praising it as having “the best fish in town” and “the best sausage in batter I have ever had”.
Customers also highlighted how well established the chippy has been in the town, with one reviewer having used it for more than 20 years.
