A guest slammed a hotel after a "disgusting" stay the night before his father’s funeral amid “unliveable” temperatures.
Keiran Degenhard, who stayed at Premier Inn Watford (Croxley Green), in Ascot Road, last Tuesday (June 27) described getting just two hours of sleep in “past uncomfortable” heat, as indoor temperatures reached 32 degrees.
When the heat eventually forced him to stand outdoors, at least 10 rooms on the floor had their doors wide open and several people were stood outside or complaining at reception, he said.

Mr Degenhard had shared the room with his partner, while his aunt and her fiancée also stayed at the hotel.
He said: “It definitely affected us. It was an emotional day, but emotions were heightened by the tiredness.
“We were so, so tired. Whenever you are that tired you are emotional, let alone at your dad’s funeral.”
The hotel had apparently been asking head office for air conditioning “for the longest time”, he said, adding the attitude was as if this happens all the time.
The sales developer said: “It’s just really, really disappointing, the lack of care from head office was unbelievable and there was a total lack of care in the hotel.”
He was encouraged to call customer service to complain, but they just pointed to the lack of air-con being clear when booking.
“I expected a little sympathy, but it felt like I was being told off,” the 30-year-old said.
“Air-con or not you would expect it to be at least standard outdoor temperature.”
He highlighted that Tuesday wasn’t exceptionally hot, with highs of around 22 degrees.
A Premier Inn spokesperson said: “We were sorry to hear about the guest’s experience.
“We do make it as clear as possible on our hotel information booking pages and at the point of booking whether a hotel has air-con or not and we would just encourage guests to check to make sure they are booking the best hotel for them – for example, our Rickmansworth hotel nearby does offer air conditioning.
“Team members are also always on hand 24/7 to support guests if needed in hot weather, including with sheets, fans and water.”
The group also stayed on the Wednesday, which was apparently also uncomfortable but not quite as bad.
