A new health club has celebrated a successful Watford launch after £3 million was invested in top facilities.
Entrepreneurs Jon Williams and Tom Edwards acquired the 20,000 square-foot (around three football pitches) West Herts Squash and Fitness site, in Park Avenue, last year.
After £3 million was invested into improvements to deliver a wide range of offerings in one club, Forest House opened on Monday (June 26) and already has some of its services booked solid.

General manager David Banisadeghian said: “We say to members ‘the only thing we need you to come with is one spare set of clothes, everything else you need we will provide’.”
Facilities include a gym, health lounge, racket spots, a clinic, and a wide variety of studios.
“People say this type of club was exactly what was needed for this town,” David added.
He described the pitch to members as “what they want to do, how they want to do it” and explained how hybrid workers are able to complete their work in the building before going straight to classes.
West Herts Sports Club owns the land and franchises the gym building out to Forest House, which is a separate entity requiring a separate membership.
Forest House’s current “grand opening” price offer costs between £80 and £100 per month depending on contract lengths.
