Two brothers were attacked near Rickmansworth Canal Festival after a run-in with 10 to 15 teenagers.
The pair were on a footpath within the aquadrome when they started talking to the group at around 8.30pm on Saturday, May 20, before some members reportedly assaulted them.
The older brother, 25, was left bleeding heavily from the nose and needed hospital treatment, while the other, 20, suffered bruising.
Both fled and were helped by members of the public. The attackers walked off towards the nearby Tesco.
Herts Police later clarified that the attack was not within the festival itself, but the brothers are believed to have previously been there.
The group are described as being white, mainly male and predominantly aged around 16 to 17, although an older man may have been with them.
