A popular restaurant chain has confirmed it is “getting everything ready” to launch a new branch in Watford.
Nando’s, which has more than 450 UK locations including in Watford town centre, confirmed rumours that it is planning to open a third location in Woodside Leisure Park.
A spokesperson said: “We’re excited to announce that we will be opening a new restaurant in Watford.”

The peri-peri chicken giant was tight-lipped on any details as it told the Watford Observer about the process of opening the branch.
“Lots of planning goes into each of our restaurant openings,” the spokesperson said.
“We’re currently getting everything ready for the new site, but once we know timings and the opening date we will be able to share this info with you.”
There were rumours that Nando’s could be the mystery business opening in the former Chiquito unit in Woodside Leisure Park. This has now been confirmed.
A commercial business operator is “keen” to take over the former Chiquito unit, according to a planning application submitted to Watford Borough Council on May 24.
However, it added that the unnamed business thinks the space is too large, which is why the plan seeks to split it into two units.
