The Watford John Lewis unit has been divided into separate smaller units, meaning more announcements could be on their way.
Last week it was officially announced that Dunelm will be opening a store in the massive multi-floor atria Watford space.
It appeared unlikely that it could fill all the floors, especially as it had previously been reported that several “well-known high street brands” had been in advanced talks with atria Watford about the unit.
At that time, in 2022, it was understood that more than one business was likely to move in to the one unit and the Watford Business Improvement District (BID) has now confirmed the unit had been divided up.

Jill Farnsworth from Watford BID said: “Yet another great brand comes to Watford town centre. We love Dunelm and look forward to seeing them open.
“All credit to Atria for defying the odds and transforming that enormous John Lewis site into smaller marketable units in such a quick turnaround time.
“We can’t wait to find out who’ll be next.”
Watford mayor Peter Taylor said Dunelm’s move into Watford is “fantastic news for the local economy”.
He added: “This is also testament to the close work between Watford Council and Watford BID which ensures we have a vibrant, safe and successful town centre that everyone can enjoy.”
