A Watford restaurant has been told major improvement is necessary after being handed a 1/5 food hygiene rating.
Lalbagh Tandoori in Chalk Hill, Watford, was given the score this week after an inspection on March 28.
Across the three categories inspected - hygienic food handling, cleanliness and condition of facilities and building, and management of food safety - the Indian and Bangladeshi eatery was told improvement was necessary in all areas.

“Major improvement” was found to be necessary in the management of food safety category.
The category covers systems or checks in place to ensure that food sold or served is safe to eat and evidence that staff know about food safety.
After an inspection on October 23, 2018, the restaurant had previously held a 4/5 rating.
