One of Little Britain’s stars “charmed” the audience at a fundraising event held in aid of the Radlett and District Museum.
On Saturday, March 18, the actor, comedy writer and television presenter Matt Lucas took on the role of quiz master at the event held in the Vision Hall, Radlett.
Matt went to school in the area and still has family there.
Supporter of the museum Councillor Caroline Clapper who also attended said: “He had everyone laughing.

“He is lovely, charming, funny and has a good understanding of the area.
“It really means something to have a celebrity attend who has ties to the area.”

Those links were highlighted throughout the quiz when it was revealed that some of Little Britain’s scenes were filmed in Radlett, including Newberries Car Park.
More than 100 people attended the evening where they also enjoyed fish and chips.
Just over £2,500 was raised for the museum that is run by volunteers and supported by Hertsmere Borough Council.
The money goes towards ongoing museum costs.
