An Indian grocery and café is coming to Watford once a £150,000 refurb is complete.
MiniIndia in Eastcote, Pinner, opened in January 2021. Owner Niraj Shah said he had always wanted to run the business in Watford but could never find the right place.
The former Marketplace Group building, vacant since a move to The Parade, will now undergo major work ahead of MiniIndia's Watford opening, potentially towards the end of April.

He explained that MiniIndia prides itself on selling all the ingredients, drinks, and spices customers might want, including rare Indian spices you are unlikely to find elsewhere.
With the new location being twice the size of the Pinner outlet, it will also have room for a café area where shoppers can sit down for tea, coffee, or juices.
The £150,000 work will include completely redoing the flooring and ceiling as well as converting the former offices into a grocery store.
