A pub could have its fourth landlord in eight months after a major refurbishment last year.
The Wishing Well in St Albans Road was rebranded the Cother Arms on July 30, 2022, after it was taken over by Craft Union Pub Company, part of the UK’s largest pubs operator the Stonegate Group.
Along with the name change the pub saw a six-figure investment to deliver a complete transformation, and new management took over.

However, in October the pub landlady left and a new couple began running the site.
This month, Craft Union has again been searching for a new operator to run the pub.
The Watford Observer understands the outgoing landlords needed somewhere with more accommodation.

A listing is available to view online, although the deadline for applications closed on February 24.
After taking over, new landlords would be given 18% of weekly net turnover to pay themselves and their staff, alongside incentive payments.
The job requires a personal licence to run a pub and two years of experience, and prospective landlords would need to make a £500 bond payment.
