A power cut has hit a large section of Watford town centre this morning.
According to UK Power Networks there will be disruption to power around High Street until around 1.30pm to 2.30pm today (February 13).
There are 19 properties still affected across four postcodes with power restored to three places so far.
According to a shopper, M&S has closed, while Primark remains open but the escalators and electronic doors are not working there.
The local added: “I wanted to go to M&S. As I was walking up I saw lots of people were being turned away from the shops.
“I asked a security guard what had happened and he said there has been a power cut.
“Lots of people with kids were disappointed as it is half term. They need to do some shopping.”

Power was out in around half of atria Watford, while the escalators near the former John Lewis unit, where lights remain on, are not working.
At 11.10am UK Power Network was made aware of the issue and engineers were on their way to the town centre by 11.16am.
The most recent update, at around 12pm, says customers may find their power going on and off as engineers have begun restoring power.
