A joiner has built his own popular escape room in Watford.
Benn Warren and his family are long time escape room enthusiasts who have recently turned their passion into a business with Enigma Rooms Watford.
The 41-year-old opened his first room Goldrush on December 16, and is already planning four more, with work under way on two.
Benn said: “I’ve been playing for years with my family.
“It’s one of the only things you can do as a family where everyone has as much input as everybody else.
“Joinery, although I still love it, feels like work but escape rooms are just fun regardless of whether I’m playing with my family or watching others play.”

To get input on the tech and puzzles Benn was offered a franchise by Engima Escape Rooms, which is primarily based in Yorkshire, to set up his own business in Watford High Street.
“It’s something where I can put my skills towards it and build the rooms,” the father of three girls added.
“My game is unique and designed and built by me and my people but I needed the input to make it as good as it is.
“I want more people to know how good escape rooms can be.”
