Carnivals may not be what they used to be in many towns and villages but for many years they were one of the highlights of the summer in communities across the country.
We’ve taken a look back through our picture archive to almost 20 years ago to May 2003 when dozens of children dressed up and floats paraded through the streets in Rickmansworth’s annual carnival.
