A new café is set to open in the Cha Café building.
Prospective tenants Café in the Park will reopen the tea pavilion in Cassiobury Park, Watford, which was left empty when the former tenants retired in August last year.
With no replacement tenant in place at the time, the owners, customers, and Watford Borough Council said they hoped the “wonderful” café can remain as a community-focused operation.
The council has now confirmed that it has appointed Café in the Park to take over. The independent business already has two locations, near Rickmansworth Aquadrome and in Linmere, Bedfordshire.
It has been operating in Hertfordshire for over a decade, priding itself on championing sustainable food and sourcing all its ingredients locally.

Watford mayor Peter Taylor said: “We are very excited to be welcoming Café in the Park to Watford.
“We know how much people love spending time in our award-winning park and we are happy to once again provide them with places to relax and refuel.”
Like the previous Cha Café, there will be outdoor seating and customers will be able to enjoy sandwiches, pastries and hot drinks while taking a walk around the park.
