A Watford pub could soon be taken over and refurbished by “interested parties”.
Stars Pubs & Bars, a subsidiary of Heineken which owns the pub, said it is still actively recruiting for The Oddfellows.
However, the Watford Observer understands there are "a couple of interested parties”, although no agreement has yet been reached.
A spokesperson from Star Pubs & Bars said: “We can confirm that we are still actively recruiting for the Oddfellows.”
The Fearnley Street watering hole is being advertised to prospective new landlords with estimated minimum ingoing costs of £40,510.

Popular with away fans, it is the site of an “extensive” planned refurbishment to become a “friendly and modern pub”, which was originally to include renaming it.
However, it was confirmed in October last year that Oddfellows will not have its name changed to The Hornets.
Stars Pubs & Bars had previously confirmed the refurbishment is subject to finding a new licensee.
