Valuable artwork has been stolen during a Hertfordshire charity event.
Hertfordshire Constabulary issued an appeal for information after art worth around £3,000 was pinched from the Alban Arena, in St Albans, between 11pm and 12am on the night of December 3.
The piece had been displayed next to a band and DJ on stage before it went missing at the end of the night.

PC Lee Hammond said: “The piece is approximately 1m x 1m in size and it’s possible that someone may have taken it thinking it was a stage prop, not realising its true value.
“I am appealing for the person who took it to please get in touch so that it can be returned to its rightful owner.
“Equally, I would like to hear from anyone else who thinks they may have come across it or seen it advertised for sale.”
The artwork has now been found. Police added it appears it was picked up in error.
