Santa Clause made a grand and unforgettable entrance when he arrived in a helicopter to a children’s Christmas party.
On Saturday, November 26, a helicopter landed in the playing fields at Kingsway Junior School, Watford.
Children could be heard cheering in anticipation of Father Christmas’s entrance, and he received a round of applause when stepping out of the helicopter.

It was part of the annual party that Kingswood Residents Association has been running for the past 10 years.
One of its organisers, Emily Clark, said: “The kids absolutely loved it, you could see how magical it was for them to experience something so extraordinary.
“After Santa arrived all the children got to visit him in his grotto individually and received a present each.
“It’s important to us to offer local affordable events for our residents of all ages, but the kids’ party is a special event and one that has a lot of time and energy driven into it by our volunteer committee.”
Around 75 children and their parents attended, and the day was rounded off with a disco for the children to “burn off all their excitement”.
“There were lots of smiling faces and tired children at the end of it all,” she said.
