A metal shipping container has been installed in Watford town centre for an event to coincide with Halloween.
Situated outside Gade House in The Parade, the 24ft long container is the setting for a “chilling” new theatre show lasting 20 “terrifying” minutes.
Over 20 minutes, Watford Palace Theatre says it explores the psychology of a group of people, and asks that they believe, not only in what seems to be happening inside the container but also in what might be conjured up into the room with them.
It is an intense sonic performance created by Darkfield that caters for 20 people at a time who are wearing headphones and sat in darkness.
The Séance experience has been described by theatre critic Lyn Gardner from The Guardian as: “Rosenberg and Neath’s best collaboration to date, a creepy and manipulative miniature which unsettles and makes you question not just your senses but what you actually believe".
Shows are running at regular intervals from 1.30pm to 10.30pm until November 5 and booked via https://watfordpalacetheatre.co.uk/events/seance/ -
Tickets are £9 and £5 for students. It is suitable for people aged 14 and above.
