A competition has been launched for the most festive photograph to appear on the mayor of Watford’s Christmas card.
Every year, Peter Taylor sends out a card and the theme for this year is Watford at Christmas.
Entrants can be professional or amateur photographs, but they must live in Watford.

More than one photograph can be submitted but all images must be of the Watford borough.
Submissions can be of existing festive photos taken in previous years or imaginative new designs to reflect the festive season this year.
Special effects can also be used on the photograph you take.
Elected mayor of Watford Peter Taylor said: “The Christmas card competition is a great way of showing the amazing artistic talent we have here in Watford and raise money for charity at the same time.”
The card will be sponsored by local firms, charities, voluntary groups and businesses across the town.
This year’s proceeds will be donated to local charities, Home Start Watford and Citizen’s Advice Watford who are providing vital support to families during the cost-of-living emergency.
Mr Taylor said: “This year has been especially difficult for local charities. The cost-of-living emergency has increased demand for support, but fewer people have been able to donate.
"I look forward to receiving the entries and hope we can raise a significant amount for Home Start and Citizens Advice Watford.”
To submit an entry, images should be emailed to themayor@watford.gov.uk by November 7, 2022 and winners will be announced on November 8, 2022.
The minimum requirement for this photo is 2560px X 1825px at 300dpi.
And all images should be high resolution JPEG files.
Last year’s Christmas card was created by Kristian a student at Beechfield School in Gammons Lane.
The winning card featured Santa in his sleigh, flying over Watford and it helped to raise more than £7,500 for local charities Random Café and Playskill.
Both charities said the donations will help them to expand and continue their work.
Mr Taylor added he was “grateful to Beechfield School and Kristian for the brilliant card design”.
