A new pizzeria has sold out in under two minutes as getting pizza is “like trying to book tickets for Glastonbury.”
Vincenzo’s welcomed customers in Bushey High Street on Thursday (September 6), after moving into the former Picnics Sandwich Bar unit.
With service based on online pre-orders from 10am, bookings for the 150 slots available between 4.30pm and 9.30pm each day have been selling out in minutes.

On opening day, the pizzas had sold out in 9 minutes, on Friday it took just three minutes for every spot to go, and today it was under two minutes.
Customers took to Instagram after struggling to get a booking.
A post said: “Trying to get a Vincenzo’s pizza is like trying to book tickets for Glastonbury, try again in 2023.”
One reply added, “You sell out quicker than an Adele concert”, while another said, “The hype is unreal”.
Owner Tom Vincent, 41, explained he has faced a barrage of support and questions about bookings and has had to start shutting down the website to stop orders coming in so fast.
He said: “People have been coming down to ask questions even when it’s closed, Instagram, Facebook, emails, it’s all been going crazy.
“People love it and I feel really blessed, but also very stressed.
“Its just me making these pizzas, we are just a small team dealing with huge demand.”
Tom added that this morning has been particularly stressful because, despite shutting down his website two minutes after orders opened, he was still left with 30 extras.
He explained that he plans to honour all the orders but is “anticipating delays” and has had to call up his customers to explain the situation.
Earlier this week Tom told the Watford Observer he put his “heart and soul" into the pizzeria and explained what makes it unique.
He said: “Customers can expect a style of pizza that hasn’t been made in the UK much before and has probably disappeared from the east coast of America too.
“The main inspiration is the coal oven pizza, which predates the mass-produced American stuff that most people think of when they think of New York pizza.”
