Shops and pubs will be able to make their own decision on whether they open this weekend following the Queen’s death.
The government has issued guidance on how the country should mourn Her Majesty after she died yesterday, stating it will be up to individual businesses.
Atria Watford and Watford BID were unable to give guidance on likely closures, but almost all shops were open throughout today (Friday).

They are expected to stay open as normal tomorrow, along with pubs, as the country officially goes into mourning.
However, the country is expected to shutdown on the day of the Queen’s funeral – the date is yet to be announced.
While eateries are expected to stay open, some events have chosen not to go ahead or have been delayed - such as Watford’s Big Bandstand in Cassiobury Park.
Watford FC's game with Reading, which was supposed to be tomorrow (Saturday), has also been postponed along with all the weekend's football.
